On January 19th, the Cheyenne Mountain Wrestling team took first at the Colorado Springs Metro Championships.  The tournament pits all 23 teams in the metro area against each other, and our wrestlers ended up on top. Kevin Hooks individually won his weight class at 145 pounds, defeating Isaiah Brown of Mesa Ridge.  Cheyenne placed 12 of 14 wrestlers: Nick Grizales 3rd at 106, Brian Hooks 6th at 113, Chase Johnson 2nd at 120, Tristan Yohn 5th at 126, Ian Diffendaffer 8th at 132, Rick Stark 3rd at 138, Kevin Hooks 1st at 145, Konrad Ziegler 5th at 152, Billy Maddox 4th at 160, Jake Boley 3rd at 170, Colton Bellew 3rd at 195, and Jack Irgens 6th at 220.
