In an annual tradition, Cheyenne Mountain High School participates in ‘Wish Week’ to fundraise for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, where students can participate by donating to participate in various events.
The Make-a-Wish Foundation looks to give children diagnosed with critical illnesses the possibility to make exciting childhood memories outside of hospital visits and medical treatments. This year, Cheyenne Mountain is fundraising for 7-year-old Macklynn, who was diagnosed with a nervous tissue disorder. As an avid fan of Harry Potter, she is hoping to visit Harry Potter World.
This year’s Wish Week features daily themes and events: Comfy Day, Teacher/Student Swap Day, Pink Out Day, Harry Potter Day, and Winter Wonderland Day. Featured events include a volleyball tournament, a hockey game, and donation events, concluding with the Winter Ball.
Student Council aims to raise $10,000 for Macklynn’s trip to the Wizarding World. Donations can be made through participating in events throughout the week or by scanning the QR code below.Wish Week 2024 Updated
