Help fund ENVOS’s bear-proof trash cans with a screening of The Lorax.

The Environmental Conservation Organization (ENVOS) club at Cheyenne Mountain is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, April 20 to raise money to replace the current outdoor trash cans with bear-proof trash cans. 

Wildlife, like racoons and coyotes, in the area displace and consume waste from the trash cans, leading to potential health issues and pollution. These conflicts between humans and wildlife, especially bears, are increasingly common and lead to 120 bears being euthanized in 2020 alone due to human conflict. 

To raise money, ENVOS is showing a screening of The Lorax Movie at 4th period access in room D120. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $1.00, snacks and drinks included.
